5 Elements StaffKeith F. Zeitlin, ND is a board certified Naturopathic Physician who is licensed in both Connecticut and Washington State. He is the medical director and member of 5 Elements Naturopathic Health Center, LLC and the former medical director of Achieving Wellness. Dr. Zeitlin is a regular contributor to Delicious Living and Living Well magazines and the immediate past secretary of the Connecticut Naturopathic Association. He is a graduate of both Florida State University where he was trained in Psycho-biology and Anthropology and of Bastyr University where he earned several distinctions. After graduation from Naturopathic Medical School, Dr. Zeitlin obtained and finished a one-year residency in orthopedics and physical medicine. During his medical training, Dr. Zeitlin did several advanced externships in cardiology. Using this knowledge he was able to obtain a position as adjunct professor of Cardiology at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. His enjoyment of teaching was further engaged through Neurology and Pathology teaching positions at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. CCMT is one of the nation's most renowned Massage Therapy Schools. Although he has recently taken a hiatus from his teaching responsibilities to further focus on clinical practice and family life, he feels education of his patients is his primary calling. He believes that finding the true cause of a patients' illness is the purpose behind his practice. Teaching them how to obtain and maintain their health is the highest ideal of a Naturopathic Physician. Stephanie Kastenhuber, LMT of S. Massage Therapy, LLC, is a massage therapist licensed by the State of Connecticut. She is a graduate of Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy, one of the nation's foremost massage training programs. Stephanie has taken advanced curriculum in orthopedic massage therapy and has had extensive clinical massage experience. Patricia K. Buckley, LAc of Longlife Health Center, LLC, is an Acupuncturist and Diplomate of Chinese Herbology certified by the National Commission for Accredidation of Oriental Medicine. The founding member of Longlife Health Center, LLC she is the senior acupuncturist to whom we refer our patients. She is an honors graduate of Villanova University and of the New England School of Acupuncture. The Nation's oldest and most respected College of Oriental Medicine. She has been extensively trained in Chinese and Japanese Medical Diagnosis and Techniques for the care of most health conditions. Trisha Ludwig MSN, CNM, RN is an American Midwifery board certified nurse-midwife who is licensed in the state of Connecticut as both a midwife and registered nurse. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and her master's degree from Yale University School of Nursing. After graduation from Yale University she committed her time to practicing both home and hospital birth, helping women all across Connecticut realize their birth dreams and goals. She is an avid supporter of the undisturbed birth process, exclusive breastfeeding, and natural parenting. She has two daughters of her own both of whom were born at home. She is the founder of Women's Health & Midwifery and believes in helping women achieve their optimum health through education and self-empowerment. She cares for women from menarche to menopause and utilizes both contemporary and alternative treatment modalities in an integrative and comprehensive practice environment. |
